Aros Bay Slip and Landing Now Open
Aros Bay is a lovely spot just around from Tobermory. There has been a ruined slipway, rails, sheds here for a decades. The slipway has now been repaired with a new floating pontoon added at the end. The pontoon is for tenders only, canoes, SUPs and such like. Although there are moorings in the bay,...

Re: Stop the traffic lights on Clachan Bridge
Signed. Thanks for sharing. If anyone is wondering once, you add in your details, you can choose not to display your name, if that is important to you. Interestingly, down my way, the A702, will now have traffic lights at a cross roads which didn't need them, was not an issue, and zero consolation. ...

Good luck with selling the name. For info, folks may have to use the option to resend the account activation email, click on the link, then, if the current password does not work, use the password renew option. Both the reactivation email request and renew password email request are on the log in pa...

Early Sail This Year
Just had a great few days at the beginning of February. A couple of circumnavigations of Luing, twice to Puilladobhrain, Loch Melfort, Kimelford and Melfort Pier. Winds were 14 kts E or ENE gusting 30 to 45 kts at times, weather was mostly fair but cold and some rain at times. Also had a night sail ...

Re: Congratulations to Mavanier
Indeed, but for me it was the tension when asked to reverse into the berth, starboard side too. Reversing into the berth meant the wind was blowin...

Re: Granny Safe Jokes
A man was browsing a record stall at the Barras and he picked up an Elvis Presley record. He looked at the cover and it said “Wooden Leg”.
He said to the man running the stall, “Should that no’ say Wooden Heart.
The stall keeper replied, “Aye but it's a pirate copy”

Re: Granny Safe Jokes
A guy goes into a bar in Glasgow and says to the barman, “Gie’s 5 whiskies, Bell’s please” The barman pours them and the bloke pays and sets them up in a line. He lifts the first and downs it in one. After a pause, he lifts the third and downs it. Straightaway, he necks the fifth. He says to the bar...
