Hazard Loch Skipport, South Uist

Post by BlowingOldBoots »

CCC have issued a "Notice to Sailors" which popped up on my FB page.

In the outer part of Loch Skipport there are two abandoned mussel ropes with no buoys on them running E to W in the approximate position N57 degrees 19.8 minutes, W007 degrees 14.7 minutes.

The ropes have no floatation devices to identify them ,heavily encrusted with weed and are about 20 to 30m apart. Apparently a CCC member noticed them when sailing between them.

I can't find the notice on the CCC page but it is on their FaceBook Page https://www.facebook.com/ClydeCruisingClub
What's that? Dunno! Should we be worried about that? Dunno! How? Ah dunno!

There used to be hard-see-lines with very small floats running close the the south side of the loch.
